The narcissist is very good at making any issue about themselves. When you think you legitimately deserve honesty or understanding from the narcissist, he will trap you into giving him those exact things.
I am an asshole. Why can’t you just accept me for who I am? What makes you think that the way you are is better? How can you be so entitled not to forgive me when I am an idiot sometimes?
